Netters,
I'm wanting to add at least a tachometer to my Transmode and have been
looking at various after market gauges available through Summit, JCW,
etc. For the GMC I don't see much sense in a 0 to 8,000 0r 10,000 RPM
gauge that most of these automotive after market tachs provide. I've
noticed some in the marine catalogs that go to only 4,000 RPM, so the
scale is spread out more on the face of the tach and should be easier
to read ---- particularly in the smaller 2" diameter gauges. I'd
appreciate hearing anyone's view of the the maximum RPM range that I
should be looking for in a tach .

Phil,
The 0-4000 RPM range is probably more suited for the GMC engine RPM
range. If you are running the stock 3.07 final you are probably turning
2275 to 2350 rpm depending on tire size at 60 MPH.
