synthetic oil usage in a rebuilt engine

Subject: synthetic oil usage in a rebuilt engine

In reading all the mail on synthetic oil, I would like to know if it
would be wise to use synthetic oil in my jasper remanufactured engine?
It has approx. 6,000 miles on it to date. Please advise.
Also during the winter, I have noticed trans fluid that has leaked on my
driveway. It was changed last year # Buskirks in Sandusky, mi. Any
suggestions as to the cause?

For a new engine you need to wait until the rings are seated, I would wait
until the next oil change. check the cover bolts on the tranny.
