Hi,

Gene mentioned that we should support our local GMC shop. (recall Eric's
went out of business.) I think I did good in that regard, $2000 of labor and
$1800 of parts for my 'new' coach check up. I hope that will bring the lady to a
better shape.

But I still have some questions need your help.

1. when I step on gas pedal hard, I will hear a 'burp' sould and the engine
seems to lost its driving power for a second. If I release the gas pedal
and press it slowly, every thing seems fine.

It happened more often when engine is cold. When it warmed up, the driving
is more smooth.

What might be the problem?

2. I saw the air compressor rebuild by Patric Flowers on the web. Does that
kit from Gateway also work for 78's Electro-Level II system?
I was told that they can not be rebuild and replacing part cost about
$800. Is that true?

Thank you very much.

Hi,

If I HAD a local GMC shop, I'd support it! Those who do have them
should consider themselves fortunate. Often, I lack the knowledge or
even the time to work on my coach. I'm thankful to everyone who posts
great information here, but sometimes I'd just like to be able take my
coach someplace nearby and say "Fix It!".

Best wishes,

Hi,

Thank you all for the money saving tips. I will search for compressers
at a junk yard. It will save me a few hunderds easily.

Thanks.
