Back from a six week road trip; FL, GA, TN, NC, VA, SC - now sitting on
the OH river getting ready for the stern wheeler festival next week and
the national rendezvous the following week. This is where to be at this
moment in time.
The trip chronicled. My first break down. EVER! Almost. Well hardly
ever. Lost CV joint and wheel bearing on left side in N GA in the
middle of nowhere. And no one would work on it. But, I really like doing
all the work myself anyway. Next week I'll go through all the other
wheels.
Report update. The day before I left I fabricated a tow bar and wired it
in to the dash of a Ford Festiva. That's right; you heard right. The car
that isn't supposed to be towed. It's a champ. Must be the perfect pull
behind car. Can't tell it's back there. And, from Hickory NC I came
across the mountain via 321 to Johnson City, TN. Can't get much worse
than that. The little car does great and has all the extra storage for
traveling that is definitely needed. So, five thousand miles later the
car does great and runs great. If there's a problem, I don't know what
it is.
