The weak spot for all steal tires is the wires in the sidewalls. If the tire pressure is reduced 20% from the desired pressure, the tire may break some of the sidewall wires, causing a blowout. For that reason, the Michelin truck tire engineer we invited to a GMCWS rally recommended fabric sidewall tires.
My all steel sidewall blew out while my coach was parked at the Mt. Washing parking lot and I had tire pressure measuring safety system that did not indicate a low pressure. I took the engineer's recommended solution and went to all fabric sidewall construction.
I weigh my 23’ GMC on each wheel separately and tire pressures are 55 front and 45 rears.
