About a year or so ago I made mention that I felt that the front ends of
these coaches wer marginal at their very best. I took a "licken" on this
digest but it never changed my mind. I do believe that there was a lot
or corner cutting on these coaches. Cracked A-arms, wheel bearing
failures, lack of corrosion prevention etc...it would be interesting to
find out in a poll just how many of our coaches have a shock alignment
problems. I don't think my shocks were supposed to fit as poorley as they
currently do. Mine are way out of kilter. Frame sag, whatever the cause,
I think the only way to correct it is to cut the shock towers off and
reposition them. That, or find replacement shocks with Heim joints on
one end to ensure perfect alignment. .
Oh yeah, both of my upper A arms were cracked and the bearings had spun
in both knuckles.
