where and what do i need to replace the shock absorber on the steering assembly.

Go to your local autoparts store and ask for a Moog MD SSD-55. It is a
direct replacement for the steering dampner.

Bought a GM one over the counter about a year and a half ago in
Antigonish, Nova Scotia. It was about $20.00. Check your 'Green
book' for the part number. If I can get it here, you can get it there!!
