Howdy Marcus. Don't know a thing about that. But if you decide to drive
them, I will volunteer to drive one for you. I am retired military and
could probably get a hop there. I am having a dam hard time adjusting to
this retirement. There are a million things to do and that may be part of
my problem, overwhelmed. I can drive good. Not tickets and I do have a
license. Chuck

Has anyone ever shipped a GMC (or 2) by flat bed rail car? I would
like to see if I could ship my 2 transmodes to FL for some major work on
drivetrain and interior.
They run so they could be driven to and from the rail yard, but I would
not trust them all the way to FL.

>Never heard of it. GM Truck and Coach delivered them to the dealers by
hiring someone to drive them. I think it is quite possible and a call to
the RR or a freight forwarder who specializes in rail shipmts should
result in your becoming the "Netter's" expert on this topic.

Maybe I should ship my GMC to Oregon next summer so I can get thru the
state on one tank of fuel! [g] (west to east, of course

Marcus,
Hey, what happened to your sense of adventure! The trip is half the
journey, I just delivered a coach to the customer down rear Brownsville
Texas and had a blast!

I'm game for a scarf and goggles road trip, I'll bring the tools, you bring
the oil!

As John Wayne once said, " Ya wanna be great, don't ya pilgrim!".

But seriously, I have not heard of that before, it would be a good idea if
the units are truly not reliable. I would like to know the charges for
something like that for the future. Let me know please.

Since I would consider this a favor from you to let me drive. I won't charge
you one penny. I just need something to do. God knows! I have plenty to do
here at home. I just cna not get into it. You'd be doing me a favor. Chuck
