One concern you have with a monitor is the effect sunlight has on it.
Depending on the where a monitor is mounted, sunlight coming from the wrong
angle will completely wash out the screen. Digital cameras not having an
optical viewfinder and used outdoors are notorious for having a washed out
screen in the presence of sunlight.
One thing about the LCD screen shown in the below site, is that it is small
enough in size that it could be configured to be mounted in the vicinity of
the drivers windshield visor or rearview mirror.
Does anyone know how effective the back-up monitor is after dark?? Does the
screen view substitute for the rearview mirror view?? Do these vary
according to the system used??
