Sewer Hose

Can anyone tell me what is the brand of sewer hose that works best with the
original fittings on our 77 PB. We had some of the cheap stuff that Wal-Mart
carries (blue stuff) and in trying to force it on (very tight fit) holes
developed in it. There must be something better. Also what kind of clamps to
keep it on? And if we replace the fitting on the end of hose to go to black
pipe what brand do we want? Nothing worse then to stretch the hose out to
dump and have it pull apart (getting ready for next summer)
We know a macerator pump would be nicer but that upgrade will have to wait
for later.

Best recommendation is to get yourself a macerator and get rid of the losy
hoses. See Gene's web page and find out how clean and easy it can be.

Before you invest in a new flexible hose, give Jim Bounds a call and
check out his no fuss sewer hook up kit. I installed it in just a few
hours and it works quite well. The best part about it is that the hose
feeds itself to you when you take off the cap on the main line coming
from the holding tank. It's all self-contained and when you're ready to
disconnect, just feed the hose back into the main tube. As Jim says,
"not exactly rocket science", but it makes an unpleasant task much
easier. BTW, I don't get a kickback from Jim for hyping this device. I
think it's so slick that it should be passed on to all the netters. Oh
yeah, I almost forgot, while you've got him on the phone, get a hose
recommendation from him.

Thanks & I'm pleased that you like the doo-dad! I've set up several
coaches with it and have had good results. Like anything, there are a few
drawbacks but at least you don't have to wash your hands twice and still
wonder what that stuff is under your finger nails!

Hope to have some time soon (midnight to dawn) to do a few upgrades on the
idea, I'll keep you informed,
