Not to turn this into a macerator thread, but also not wanting to start a new thread and muddy the waters (pun intended). ....
Those that know me, know that I'm not a huge macerator fan. I'm a civil / env engineer by training, and if there are two things I did learn over the years is that $hit runs downhill, and pumps break down eventually (especially when pumping wastewater).
I trust gravity. I don't trust what I consider unnecessary, over engineered systems just to take care of what I consider a task easily handled by gravity. Not when the downside is laying on ones back with poopwater dripping on me, trying to repair a system that was supposed to be easier and less poop-watery.
THIS IS JUST MY OPINION / PERSONAL PREFERENCE.
I'm not asking for your help convincing me that macerators are the greatest thing since sliced bread. I'm glad you feel that way but I don't need help converting to your macerator cult. Please don't try.
Now, that said,.....
I did notice a really interesting macerator pump online recently. It's _water powered_!!, using the non-potable hose that is usually present near the dump station. Unlike the usual 12V macerator system hard plumbed into your rig, this is a removable, small, easily stowed setup WITH NO MOVING PARTS. Much less expensive than an electric macerator pump. Pretty interesting. Check it out:
