Hi all,

We are hoping to buy a turnkey, travel ready GMC motorhome here very soon for a long tour of our great nation. We are a family of 5 (2 Adults, 3 kids
- 3, 6 & 9).

My question for the community are

SECURE SEATING

1) What stock GMC motorhome floor plan(s) would work best for our configuration? Specifically, which floorpans had at least 5 forward (or rear) facing
seatbelts that could accommodate 3 children's car seats.

Looking at the newsletter pic thats floating around http://www.gmcmotorhome.com/faq/GMC26Interior.html I see the ones with the SWIVEL CHAIRS.

2) Did those come with belts?
3) Can they swivel 180 degrees where they can face fore and or aft?
4) Did the dinettes typically have seat belts?
5) Is there room without removing the tabletop to put car seats in them? (I think I've seen where the edges have a piano hinge and can flip up to
provide more room between the seat back and the table edge)
6) Is the tabletop designed to come off easily to be stored somewhere for road travel?

I see Floorpan 26-8 has the swivel chairs and the gaucho in the back.
7) Did the rear gaucho come with lap belts?

EATING AREA

If its possible (without modification) We ALSO would like a floorplan that has an eating area that seats all 5 of us at once. Do I have it right that
I CANT DO BOTH? Floorpan 26-11 has seating for at least 5 in the back for meals but only 4 captains chairs with belts. With Floorplan 26'-8 we could
tote around some sort of TV Dinner tray to eat in one of the captains chairs and have plenty of belts to go around - I count 7 if the gaucho has 3
belts.

So, last question is,
8) how hard a time am I going to have finding a turnkey coach in the 26'-8 floorplan? I'm guessing pretty hard.

Thank you in advance for any insight you all can give.

Happy Trails!

WTB a 77 or 78 with dry bath config.

We have two car seats in our family. Our configuration is the bunk
bed/couch and dinette. For what its worth, the couch has a couple seat
belts, and the dinette has two seat belts for forward facing.

I added metal mounting loops to the rear facing seats of the dinette for
two more seat belts. These loops are left over mounting hardware for a huge
parasail garden shade, bolted into the stairs and a metal plate that are
below the rear facing seats. The challenge here is that the dinette seats
are narrow. Sure, you can fit two seats on it, but the kids are packed next
to each other quite tight. They will get antsy, scream, and fight =)

Dont discount placing a car seat at either end of the couch if need be.
You'll need to fabricate mounting solutions. Easy to do.
