I recently replaced my roof sewer vents, and it was surprisingly easy.
Just making this post for reference.
The original factory equipment are Ventline 2049. The replacements are Ventline V2049-03 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000778LC0
The factory original sealant was grey butyl. I used Second Skin 1/4" thick, 1/2" wide black butyl https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0155KELRW

Remove the screws securing the old vent.
Use a putty knife to break the seal around the old vent.
Use a scraper to gently remove most of the old butyl.
Use Bug & Tar remover to get all the old residue off.
The new vents only have half of the screw holes punched, use a drill to clear all the other blanks.
Put the new butyl on the bottom of the new vent covering the screw holes and push the screws through the butyl.
Line up the new vent with the holes in the roof and slowly tighten the screws going back and forth in sequence so that the vent is evenly drawn down to the roof surface. Do not over tighten the screws.
Use a small stainless steel screw to retain the vent cap to the base.
