The key to successfully using the roof pod is to NOT rely on the latches
alone. we always used a bungie cord with metal hooks to secure the latches,
the hooks go into the latch padlock holes and then you don,t get the banging
that you would get if you used a padlock to secure the latches.
I prefer to use the adjustable bungie cords with 3 hooks since the pod we
have has 3 latches..
