So I am finishing up each side rail re-seal when last night we had a thunder & lightning storm followed by a light mist this morning. Attached is an image of a roof leak on the front cap that trickles across the front inside cap trim then down each side.

I am guessing it’s the outside front cap seam even though I cannot see any visible cracks in the prior sealer. Yes? Comments?

That looks to be above the roof rails, so too high for those right? The front cap seam seems likely, but if it all looks good, it doesn't hurt to examine other possibilities. Do you have an old antenna penetration? I've seen some that were uphill from the area shown.

That’s right, there are 2 antenna holes up there with both masts severed. I bet one or both of them are leaking. I would just as well remove both of them but it’s raining today.

One of the things I discovered on the driver side rail was that the front end cap was about 1/4” higher than the side rail. The hole drilled for the side rail was correctly drilled in the aluminum guide rail gutter but the end cap hole was drilled on the upper edge of the guide rail. Consequently, the side rail was slightly tweaked upward creating a nice gap against the roof that collected rain water.

I had to drill and tap a new hole in the gutter then sealed up the original hole. The side rail is now aligned properly along with the front end cap,
