I need to replace/reseal the plumbing and fridge vents. Does anyone know the rivet diameter and length required? The GMC Parts book shows part #9436816 w/vent 790369 (pre-1975 white round vent) and looks like the same rivet for the fridge vent.

Ed,
For the folks in Pontiac, that might have been good, but I would (and did - more about this down the page) use #8x1/2 SS round head sheet metal screws.
Why screws? Because those vents can get hooked by low branches and ripped off. And, there is a real good chance that you may have to lift one up to re-bed it in a newer sealant.
I had to go after both of mine with a heat gun to carefully form it to the curve of the coach roof.

I see the fridge vent is using sheet metal screws but all of the plumbing vents still have rivets - and water leaks. Thanks for the heads up on using sheet metal screws because of branches lifting the vents.
