You can change wheel cyl without pulling the brake shoes off. Very simple, and quick. You can't re flare the original tubing. It's too hard/brittle. It will just crack. Harbor Freight has a tubing bender that can make tight bends. You can reproduce that brake line perfectly. You MUST support the replacement line as GM did. Bob Dunahugh 78 Royale

You can purchase exact replacement lines, or, lines that have the same
length with the ends flared and fittings in place. With a bit of practice
and a high quality tube bender, like the one from Eastwood, or rented from
Advance Auto, you too, can make your own lines. The vice grip like tools
are made by Irwin. Ace hardware or good tool stores can get them. Not too
$$$$.

I had to modify those special locking plyers fitting wrench to fit tighter on the smallest fittings. Just took alittle grinding. Bob Dunahugh

Bob,

Was that the 4" size?
I've never run into that with the littlest. I can believe the 7LW might not get a small line nut.

I am considering just putting it all back together. The 7-inch version will
be here in about 10 days.
