Doing the repair on the stock Grill previously I'd used fiberglass/body filler and that cracked. This time I used ABS shavings mixed with MEK and some
colodial silica to make my own filler. That worked to bond the pieces together-very well I was amazed! I then used the Oately ABS black cement that
Matt Collie mentioned in this post and then laid woven fiberglass mat strips into that second level of the repair it is very very solid and no where
near as thick as it was using the body filler
I'm very happy I wil put a thin layer body filler to smooth everything out for paint.
