In our 74 sequoia the batteries are arranged with two up front passenger
side and one in the rear genset cabinet. In the rear there is a red wire=

dangling that appears to have been previously attached to the positive
battery post and it has a circuit breaker inline. Is this known to be an
original configuration or is this some previous owners jumper for ??? =

Just curious if anyone else has a similar set up.

Mike:

On my 1973 GMC 26 foot I found 2 extra wires.

One red and one black.

About 12 gauge.

Both were routed to a 2 contact plug-in (trailer plug in style)
mounted in the frame behind the rear bumper

The quality of installation of the plug etc. was good enough
that it might have been factory, however I don't know for sure.

The wires were all torn up but I assume were wired to the rear
battery and probably through some kind of fuse or breaker.

An obvious use would be an aux 12 volt outlet, given the plug
stye and the fact that they were sending the ground through
the plug etc.
