I am quoting an ad in Peterson Auto Performance Guide.
"Precision Rodware can help you keep things cool with its fan control
module kit. The kit features a 3/8-inch NPT coolant sensor that mounts in
the intake manifold or cylinder head assembly. The module starts the fan at
200 degrees and turns it off at 180 degrees. It can operate one or two fans
up to a 30 amp draw. For information contact Precision Rodware, 820 Thompson
Ave., Unit 24, Glendale, Ca. 91201 or 818/247-4161"
Hope this helps all you southern gentlemen fight the heat

I just added a thermostat control to my electric fans.
The termostat is adjustable 32 - 240 degrees and has a capiliary tube with
sufficient length to mount the switch out front and measure temperature
under the hatch.

It's usually intended to be installed on the radiator core on the engine
side but I'm using it to measure temperature under the hatch so it lives
further back.

My manual on-off switch now 'arms' the fan and then the switch controls it,
turning if off when the compartment has sufficiently cooled. I use it to
vent the engine compartment of heat on shutdown.

I would always be tardy on shutting if off so now I only have to remember to
turn it on :-)

Ain't technology great :-)

That is neat! My electric radiator fan is wired into my aircon relay.
