This is a photo of my finished powder coated front bumper. Since Chroming is not easily available, I elected to powder coat, following the example of
JohnN and FredV.
Color was chosen to marry with future (far future) paint scheme.
Powder coating does not repair flaws in the bumper, just makes them all the same color. However, it is much better than the previous rust and flaking
chrome. Lots of colors are available in powder coating, even some that replicate a chrome or silver finish.

I had the intake, timing cover and crank pulley powdercoated "Super Chrome" for the jetboat's Ford 466. They applied a clear powder over to minimize
the brightness as I wanted them to be a close match to the fabricated aluminum valve covers.
