Hello the Forum Pearl now has a problem with the pass turn signal when I turn the lights on the pass side green arrow on the dash illuminates ? and when the signal arm is activated it flashes slower . when I was working on the battery box I noticed that turn signal wiring was a little beat up.. maybe some sort of a short in there? what does the forum think ?? my parts book indicates that the housing assemble /wire plug are NS.. and nothing in the parts interchange.. Is there some sort of replacement .. thanks for your time Larry

Definitely sounds like a short to me, possibly more than one. I’d inspect as much of the wire as you can and splice in new as needed. I like the crimp-and-shrink style butt connectors as they seal out any moisture.

I’ve replaced plenty of unobtainable connectors with either crimp-and-shrink 1/4” disconnects or Weather Pack connectors.

Dave thanks wire are ok. the spring was broken in the bulb socket the bulb in at odd angle. i think that was it ! after rebuild everything is back to working. when ever i spice i solder with a sleeve to shrink afterwards. larry

Ah, interesting. So the headlight indicator bulb was shining at an angle, causing bleed-through to the left turn signal indicator?

I'm still puzzled by the slow flash symptom. To me, that would indicate low voltage to the flasher (thermal element not heating up fast enough). Did that symptom go away also?

Dave not headlight ! turn signal indicator at dash was lighting up with panel lights. then activating turn signal slow flashing. maybe shoring the two filaments together . most likely. everything is back to normal.. thanks for your time larry
