I managed to lose the outside panel for the Refrigerator on my 1977
Royale somewhere between the Flying J near Orange, TX and Rayne, LA. Had
turned off the refrig when I got propane at the Flying J and must not have
set the latch well after relighting.
Anyone know of a source. Need a slotted panel about 19 3/4 inches by 12
inches.

NOW I need to tour the Winnebago Salvage store. sigh....

John:

I had a similiar experience with the propane door on my Royale. Got a
replacement one, both frame and door, from Cinnabar.

I note you refer to the refer panel and said "set the latch". My 78 Royale
refer panel slides vertically up and down to open and close, however the
original propane compartment panel also slides up and down vertically, but
has a latch to secure it in addition.

Norcold has a nice, much more modern looking (frame has radiused corners)
refer vent (again includes a frame)available. You can obtain from many RV
stores, Camping World included. It is made from plastic and will need to be
painted.

Short of that, contact some of the GMC service centers (e. g. Jim Bounds,
Cinnabar, Alex Sirum, Grandview, etc.) to see if they have a used original
available.
