On Saturday, Bob and Sheryl Morris came in for a visit from their home
in Cortland, NY. Their coach sat nose to nose with our lady. This is
the first GMC other than ours and pictures on the net that we had seen
since we decided to take the plunge. Bob was a great resource with
information on all aspects of the coach. Sheryl helped Julie in the
vegetable garden since her knee bearings are not quite up to snuff. She
did a great job resisting being dragged to the annual Sinks to Minks tag
sale. Ron's workshop is full of treasures that Julie brought back. I
can't begin to imagine what she would have brought back if she had
Sheryl's help!

Bob helped Ron pull the original seats out. The seats are really nice
but Julie has a thing about velour...especially beige velour. Something
about a dress her mother made her wear as a child. I hope that they are
able to make good use of them. For the time being, the interior looks
like heck. Ron pulled off the bouncing dash and all the interior trim.
The cockpit headliner came out almost too easily with about a quart of
water. A leaky antenna was to blame. A few reinforcing brackes epoxied
to the back and some headliner material and back in it goes. Time to
stop taking out and start putting back in.

We got a lot of ideas from the Morris's and really enjoyed their
company. With all the talking we did, I can not even begin to imagine
the condition of our vocal cords with over 300 GMCers in one place!

If other GMCers are half as nice as the Morris's, all are welcome to our
place (a few at a time please). Black List here we come...(as soon as
the bearing puller arrives).
