Opinions on TPMS

For years I have thought that tire pressure monitoring systems were a waste of money and unnecessary, however after reading a lot of the post on this
forum I have changed my mind and can definitely see the benefits of having a system on my coach. I have been doing some research on different systems
and have narrowed my choices down to 2 brand names. I am looking at the TST system and the EEZtire (from EEZRV). Both seem to be very similar. I am
looking for opinions and experience involving these two systems. I am also concerned that the sensors may not be compatible with Alcoa rims. Are the
sensors small enough to fit in the holes where the valve stems are? I look forward to reading any and all comments from this brain trust. Thank you

I have had the TST sytem for 2 years now. It works just fine on all 10 tires. I had to take off the security covers to have them work with Alcoa
rims. IMO no big deal. On the 95 Sidekick it was necessary to grind a bit off the wheel opening to get the sensor onto the valve stem. This also
required removing the security cap. One really big advantage of having the security caps off is not having to use the removal tool to get the sensor
off the valve stem. I did not get the feed through sensors as they would also have a cap to remove to air the tire.

I have not had to replace the sensor batteries yet and I do not deenergize the sensors over the winter. We'll see how long the batteries last. I do
carry a set of spare batteries.

The setup was OK once I got the hang of it. The biggest problem was determining the set points to use. The device is a very annoying alarm clock at
2AM when the cold night makes the tire pressure drop. I was trying to get the low pressure setting as high as I could. If I had set it per their
instructions it would have been OK.

I have the auxilary transponder mounted at the left rear of the GMC. With the transponder off it sometimes looses touch with the right rear toad
sensor.
The head unit mounting options are limited. It came with power cords for outlet plug in and direct wiring.
