No, not that one. It was a a long thread about the circuit board relay failing and the various attempts to replace or modify the board ...can't seem to locate it, last updated sometime in December 2024.This one? https://www.gmcmotorhome.org/thread...-of-a-dog-rough-ruff.93232/page-2#post-608210
I did a search by putting your name in the By: [Member] search box.
Hmm... let me see if I can find anything. I'm not aware of any issues with threads disappearing. There were a couple threads troubleshooting Onan control board issues, and I don't see either of them now. One of them was the reason I created the K3 replacement video and posted it to the Resources section. Was that your thread, Larry, or was it the other one? In any case, the resource I posted on Nov 27th is still there. None of the conversation history surrounding it seems to exist though. I just went through my posting history chronologically. Something is missing here for sure.
I think this is the thread. Shows up in Google, but isn't really there anymore.
Paul that's it for sure.I think this is the thread. Shows up in Google, but isn't really there anymore.
Not sure how I could have done that; I did look at the thread a few times after making my last post. Maybe it got erased by accident during the update?Assuming it's not some strange bug, only the original poster or an admin can delete a whole thread. When deleting there are two options, hide from view or permanently delete. I don't see anything hidden; is there any chance you deleted the thread permanently when we were having the 'duplicate post' issue last month?
I have no plans for it Paul. If you want it, it's yours.Job well done then! Always good to have another power source ready during the winter...
So what are your plans for the old board?
Congrats on the fix and sorry for the trouble with the old post. I'll continue to monitor the situation; hopefully it was a one-time thing and we don't have a problem with random disappearing posts.I checked out what would be required for me to erase an entire thread and I can assure you there was no way I could have done that.
Anyway, the new dinosaur board is installed and the remote panel connector under the genny removed and hardwired.
Onan is working again and running more smoothly than ever. Remote panel at the entrance now functioning properly.
After hardwiring the connector and cleaning the solenoid connections under the board, I unplugged the new board and replugged the old one. Generator cranked but did not start, so that confirmed old board is junk.
Re-plugged the new board and everything worked fine again.
