This would happen on my 6KVA.
Then I would pull out the unit and start it on the external switch mounted
on the circuit board.
When I would push the unit back in and it would start from the remote
switch again .
Checked all the wiring that would flex while pulling the unit in and out.
I contributed intermittent remote switch operation to the electrical
connector near the bottom of the unit that is routed to the remote switch.
Cleaned the electrical connector (there was corrosion on the male and
female pins) and didn't have any trouble since.
