Onan start problem

Onan will crank but not start unless the prime switch is pressed. I'm working through the trouble shooting and the only thing I'm confused about is
the K1-I contact. The K1 relay only has 4 terminals. Two for the coil and two for the main contact. So what/where is the K1-I contact?

Not having this contact available is not a problem as there is a work around.

Sir, I had one that would only start and run if you held the prime button till the K1 would kick in then it would stay running. The initial start
circuit to pump and points comes off the starter solenoid and activates when starter is in action. The starter solenoid has a small terminal that
powers the board while activated and can go bad internally. You can add a jumper wire from the small terminal to the large terminal going to the
starter externally. As long as the small terminal is 12v when cranking all is good.

If once it runs you can release the prime button, What Chuck Said. I see sets with paint on that trerminal and the circuit board 10 wires to the big
terminal on K1. If it doesn't stay running, try the ol' 5 - 9 jumpp. If it then runs, likely K3 is dying. It's marginal to pull in initially at
best. I replace K3 with a pair of small cube relays. I wire the small one which only has 1 amp contacts in the coil ircuit, and let
it turn the marge one on using fused 5 amps off the card. They have to be glued together and onto the circuit board.

I see these now and again with the wire removed from the right hand small terminal and connected to the right large terminal. It sort of will work
there if everything is up to snuff, and in that configuration you can use a Ford Truck starter solenoid. Sort of. Many places have the correct Onan
Starter Relay for sale, google it.
