What is the correct plug for a 6k unit ?

Mine had Champion RH18Y

is the Denso W14-U what onan recommends ?
When i go up to the autopart store they cross reference E3.10 plugs ?
and gmcmotorhome.info says he's using champion 844-1 ?

and the wires i just want to keep it cheap, any thoughts on which ones?
the autopart store wanted to sell me a single perfomance wire for like 45 bucks (OUCH)

Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car, understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. Hp is how fast you hit the
wall, and torque is how far you take the wall with you when you hit it.

David,

RH18Y is the number called out in the later publications. It is an extended electrode 7/16 reach small engine plug. Nickel plated hex for corrosion.

844-1 is an H10C in an single pack. This is another small engine plug, but standard reach and not extended.
E3.10 is a lawn/garden plug with a 3/8 reach.

Any will work. I like the RH18Y because it gets what little spark there is farther into the hole.

There is a Delco cross too.
I have been hoping to find a platinum cross, but have never found a reach and heat range that were even close.

For wires, find some one with a 4 cylinder "build your custom kit" or go to a wrecking yard and get 2 wires and cut them to length.

The Autozone near me has all kinds of single wires in stock at $6.59. Get 2, cut them to length, and install. They have both 7mm and 8mm diameter
wires in stock.

Or visit your local junk yard and grab a few probably for free.

Be sure to be check them for continuity before installing. Especially on used ones. The readings should be a few thousand ohms and different
depending on length. After they are installed read them again from one spark plug wire end to the other spark plug wire end. Again there needs to be
continuity and the reading should be approximately the sum of the two readings that you took of each wire before.

Remember to gap both plugs to .020 not your typical .030 or more. I use same AC plug as in 455. Ditch the old carbon wires that deteriorate with use
and time. I had some experience with wires as we reproduced the original GM Suppression 1 through 6 numbered sets for the Buick GN in latest grey
Magcore stock. Had to print 10,000' of each. For Onan I used some early plug wire samples and cut off the plug end. The coil end 90 then fits the Onan
plug and you cut to length at the coil end (per Matts suggestion) The coil tower pierces the center conductor. The Buick wires are 8mm and fit the
coil but the thread on glans won't fit. I sealed that with 3M electrical tape to test and still good. I suggest using 7mm wires where the glans and O
ring should fit and tighten down. I have been meaning to make and sell wire sets but the MOQs are so high I'll have my money tied up forever. Runs
noticibly better with Magcore wires and starts instantly.

From the wire building and SAE spec testing program I learned not to try to terminale wires at home. The factory machines do a way better job. Any
scratches in the inside of the boot from sliding over the connectors are a potential moisture and oil intrusion point and spark leakage point getting
worse over time. The machines do a perfect crimp, then fingers stretch the boot so it is not scratched inside while going over connector. A case where
hand crafted is worse!

Maybe you could do a group buy type thing, where folks commit to buying a set or two up front. I know I would buy two sets to renew mine and have good
high quality spares.

I don't see how those ebay wires will fit the Powerdrawer as the coil end should be unterminaterd. The coil ends are pierced by a spike in the coil
tower and then the threaded insulator and Oring tightened down. If you cut one end off those wires they may be too short. Not sure. Plus they are
probably carbon suppression, nostalgic but not current tech and degrade as they are used as carbon.

Actually, copper core (hotrod) wires will work best, especially in a marginal system such as the Onan. They will however wipe out AM radios for a
distance. When I have to replace mine, I'm going to see if I can find a couple of aviation wires, which are copper core with a metal braid shield
around the outside. I bet they'd make it easier starting without acing out everyone's radio and TV for five or six spaces around the coach.

1977 Kingsley 455 as stock as it gets except lots of Ragusa parts
 
If the ling ine is long enough then you could cut to length. But has no ingo on construction type. Might be old carbon type.

The PO of my coach left me with a box of original new Onan parts. In the box were two boxes of spark plug wires, one fully constructed wire per box
with with the coil tower boots and plastic caps. They look like the ones that SpookyEng linked to above. Instruction sheets say to cut each wire to
the length of the original installed wires and slide either the rubber boot or the plastic cap to each cut end depending on the type of coil you have.
Each wire has "Hypalon Ignition Wire-Copper Conductor" printed on it. The Onan part number is 0167-1602, made in the US. Sorry, but I'm about to
install them on my unit.

Great OEM find! Thanks for the info. Sounds like non suppression wire? Not a problem for the Onan but may cause static on weak AM stations etc. Not
sure how other digital devices would be affected if at all. Even if you had EFI the proximity is so removed it should not matter, but you never know.
