Onan Emerald 1 ina Birchaven - who's done it ?

So the Birch needs a generator and i scored a really good deal on a Onan Emerald 1 - 4000 watts, 200 LB

It fits in the compartment with a couple inches to spare except for the exhaust.

On this unit the muffler sticks out 4-5" off the end. I would need to make a custom pipe to route it up to put the muffler over the engine or down
and out.

But i can't be the first guy to solve this problem so I'd love some input

Make sure it works before you put it in. A friend bought an emerald 1 put about $100 into it and the engine stopped when he released the start button
the trouble shooting instructions said it was the control board he bought a new one.but that didn’t help. Probably a bad winding he gave up trying.
