On the road again

Making a little check out run. With a lot of help form Henry, Here we are
at New brightion beach near Santa Cruz. One false start, first camp spot
did not like Sadie(the dog)and kicked us right out. No dogs allowed. Made
another call to Henry and we found an over flow lot to park it. Nice place
right on the beach in a black top parking area.

Coming over the hill from the bay area was a GMC worst nightmare, got stuck
behind an old slam bam truck towing a fork lift, he had a granny gear which
put us down to almost 0 mph. Finally got by him on the second hill and got
back up to speed.

The new radiator core was great looks like it reduced my temps by about 40
degrees. Fan came on but the temp came down real fast. The temp used to
run at about 1//2 scale on the new sender on small hills, with the new
radiator it is now running about 1/4 scale. This is a big difference.

Weather is great, the rig is running great, and we had a nice dinner. Life
is good. Now to see what is on the mail.

Sorry about that. Forgot that you had a canine traveling companion.

That beats the first place's gravel parking area. The overflow lot is fine
for a GMC - size and facility (no facilities to hook up to).

Hiway 17 over the mountains is a very twisty road (4 lanes). No truck
pull-offs - and it's the major road for trucks between the silicon valley
and the coast. IT's pretty common to run across more than one truck
crawling up the hill..

As we started up the mountain, the RV in front of me moved into the left
lane and put his foot into it. I thought that is funny most RV stay in the
right lane. Soon I found he knew what he was doing. He held up traffic a
little, but he did not get stuck behind a truck.
