Since I have just purchased my 73 coach there are 1001 things to
check/fix/replace etc. How do I determine if the oil lines are original
(or replaced with original)? Were they braided or smooth or what?
Replacing seems cheap insurance and peace of mind.

Gil,
If the previous owner told you nothing of replacing the oil cooler hoses,
it is a good insurance move to replace them. It doesn't cost that much and
it only takes a minuete to burn up the motor if one bursts. There are
several other safety issues you should consider if you have little history
on the maintenance of the coach, are you interested?
