I have started using the K&N oil filter. I trust them from using the air filter,
and the canister has a 1" hex head protrusion on the bottom for using a socket to
remove and install to the proper torque setting. They claim a 550lb burst and a
10 micron filter capacity with a 12 gpm flow rate. They also make some other
claims that may or may not be relevant. I buy it because of the ease of install
and removal without the need for an oil filter wrench.
