JR Wheeler asked me how my buy of a norcold N41 from JC Whitney was doing.
I can tell you that I ordered it on 1/1/99 and as of yet there still seems
to be a problem.. First the order desk did not recognize the catalog number,
model number or price. However I was assured that I would receive the
special 15% discount. They charged me $1036 for the refrigerator, door and
shipping for the door panel but said it would be corrected by customer service.
As of today I have not received the refrigerator yet, they did tell me it
would take 2-3 weeks for delivery. Called them yesterday and the discount
still had not been given although my credit card had not been charged yet
either. Asked them why they had charged me for shipping the door panel since
I found out it is installed at the factory and shipped freight collect with
the refrigerator.
In addition I found out after checking closer that JC Whitney sells the
Norcold 900 series refrigerators. the norcold site does not list such a
refrigerator, only 600 and 800 models. Have no idea if they are the same or
not until and if it arrives.
Bottom liine is that I am not impressed with JC Whitney.
