What appeared to be a quiet un traveled road suddenly turn into I-75 @
spring break.3 good readings,all from 50 mph,cruise on. 1st stop.270' 2nd
stop 272' 3rd stop 273' Average 271.66' . two other stops were suspect so
were thrown out.Brakes were very hot and smelling bad,but fade as indicated
was not bad. There was about a mile and a half before i could turn around so
there was a little cool down. Now onto the 80mm calipers and
then the TSM rear Disc conversion. Jim Penrod Hangin out an
bein cool in Lake Placid F L A

Sounds like the old rule of thumb of one carlength for every 10 MPH on good,
dry pavement would work -- if the "car" used is a GMC. Which brings me to
my El Gripeo Numero Uno: JUST TRY to leave a decent space behind the
vehicle in front of you around Atlanta -- and probably every major city --
and it's tantamount to putting out the "Vacancy" sign for some of these morons.
Which makes me anxious to get this GMC -- with those three (count 'em --
three) BAAAADDDD ass air horns hidden behind the grill -- back on the road.
Heheheheh...

I like that. My neighbor has a siren left over from a 40's or 50's
fire engine in his GMC. It is really loud and when he gets some
"jerkoff" in front of him he lets it rip. I guess they just scatter to
the wind when he does that. Of course if is probably illegal in all
states to do so.
I think I'll get a nice sounding air horn like you have.

Jim, I can't wait to see the final results and the comparisons. I'm sure
all the Netters feel likewise. We don't often have an opportunity to put
theories to the test.

Thanks for your contribution!
