Just trying to be a smart donkey :-) [another name for 'donkey' is?]

I don't know why we all of a sudden need two dogs. Think I (we)
need our heads examined. Anyway, we are looking at some wire
haired 'red' Dachshunds. We visited the romantically inclined,
soon to be mommy and daddy, yesterday in Windsor, NS, and we
hAVE TO PUT OUR ORDER IN RIGHT AWAY IF WE WANT
"DELIVERY" IN THE FALL...Oops, looks like I hit the "Caps Lock"
key.
So that's where we stand right now. Lorraine has been heavy into
the books trying to find info on them...ie. temperament, aptitude to
travel, chronic diseases, etc.
Speaking of dogs, my old pacemaker, with almost 5 years left in
the battery was heading for the vets. I discovered this while
chatting with the Doc as he was installing the new "box". Seems a
lot of them go in this direction after human usage. Some pouch
was in need of heart assistance....... and we thought we were
"Special"

See ya

Mike

Mike - Al Chernoff, of Albuquerque, mr.c a fellow
GMCnetter, has a red haired Dachshund. You might to consult with him
about their care and temperament.

If you're considering the same kind of dog that Al C. has, go for it!
"Nuts" visited with us one evening recently when his chauffeur stopped by
to deliver some badly needed wheels. That is one great dog! Even got along
with our 20 lb. cat, Schuster.

Check out Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Cute, friendly, loyal but not
overprotective. Actually bark rather than yap. Skippy the Dog is one and he
is great with the kids.
