Tom, you will recall my current plan is to swap out the wiring harness and build it into the bookcase as an Art Curio at home (because it is as pretty on the outside as it is on the inside) and maybe pop it out in 20 years and send my kids to University with it.. I don't know if you follow these things, but if you had bought the '59 Duc Dianna and parked it a dry basement - it would fetch something on the order of $15,000 USD.. A fresh CBX will command about $5,000 - $7,000..
I once took a CBX 6 out and so scared myself I never considered any Honda ever again as I feel that a company who would release this tire shredding, near light speed ride to the riding public without a solid disclaimer and scary waiver - couldn't be considered as entirely reliable corporate citizens.. I harbour the same feelings about guys behind the big Plymouth Road Runner too..
The CBX was so fast off the mark I though I was going to black out around 4500 rpm as all the blood went to the back of my helmet.. If memory serves me I think I also started to lightly hallucinate when I finally got it stopped and I carefully backed away..
