Easy now...

Let's see if I have this correct. First you critize us for being a
dull bunch; then you can't understand why people aren't wearing
their fingers to the bone replying to your questions....

Perhaps we are simply a more laid-back crew than you're used to !
Perhaps we are new, and perhaps we really do, under the pile of
replacement parts, obsolete numbers, and shinny upgrade catalogues
have lives!!

We are what and who we are, and when someone stumbles across an
answer for you...you'll get it ! First someone has to know the
answer, then they have to find the time to put it on the system.
Patience is a necessity with a GMC......

I was just haveing fun. I am in a hurry to join all of you. I have just
bought
the classic basket case. I want all of you to talk to me so I can have as
much fun as all of you. Need lots of help! I have restored 3 rvs NEVER
a GMC. I am in a hurry to retire too. Looks like I have 1.5 to 2 yrs. Cant
wait! Governor signed a new law here in IL and it looks like I can retire
soon. Benifits office so overloaded they say they cant tell me when for
6 mos. Got to be ready! Sorry to be in a hurry but I want to do this! I have
loved the GMC since it came out. Never believed I could afford one. Now
I have one. Must move! Got Alcoa wheels and new tires(well they were
did not come in today) I am waiting. Not very well but waiting. Bought a
new air tank from Cinnabar----then got GMCMM----could have got a stainless
steel tank for less than I paid for OEM---- Yeah I know I should have had
patience---I did not. So I dont want to make the same mistake---so talk to
me.

I need a headliner too! Anyone tried bathroom paneling? Its just a thought.
If I do the plywood thing what kind of glue do I use to attach the surface
material? Found a company that has new windows---- should I get rid of
these noisy leaky ones I have. If not why? I dont want to just restore I
want a rig I can live in full time. What about fuel injection? I like the
idea
of updating this old 455 to the present----- why not?

Well I guess I have gone on long enough. Thanks for any help any of you
can give to us NEW Folks

Thanks
Arch

I am sorry if I have upset you. I never ment to. I honestly dont think I said
this was a dull group. I am just in a hurry to get on with this new project.
That may well be my problem. I dont expect anyone to "wear there fingers
to the bone" to reply to my questions but it seems like a lot of questions
have not been answered.

And yes I have a life too. Right now that life is trying to rebuild a basket
case GMC Motorhome and I need help! Sorry if my excitement was
thought to be a putdown to others. I never ment it that way. I dont doubt
that you are a more laid-back crew than I am used to. You already have
what I have wanted for many years-----------an opreational GMC Motorhome.
In the future I will try to be less excited.
