Richard,
Yup! Big old bumper gone. Having a small one molded onto the
forward
frame section (only as wide as the orig bumper mounts. It won't
offer as much protection from a "5 mph hit" but won't make much
difference after that as frame beefed up behind. Also planning to
build a hidden bumper behind body. Just some extra framing.
I had been noticing Jim Bound's Dumpster at the rallies (he has
no bumper). The GMC really has a super clean look without the
bumber.
I decided to take it a little further by adding an air dam and
completing the molding around the front frame section. Wouldn't
meet gov't crash tests I'm sure, but I think I will still "win"
against most new autos.
Certainly MUCH safer than my 2100 lb tow car. I will just have to
be
I may add a "chrome tube" bumper (like on a hot rod) later after
I see the finished effect.
But the "LOOK" is very clean and sleek.
Mike

Mike, You leaving the front bumper off this coach? Just curious
as the
photos of the spiffy paint job doesn't show one.
