I'd kick in $25 towards the purchase of a new laptop to administer the
GMC net.

$25 x 100 people who use this would be $2,500...

Excellent idea, John.

Count me in.

Patrick,

My sense is that we are not passing the hat. We are deeply grateful
for what you are doing and are willing to contribute to maintain this
wonderful experience. We wish to match your generosity in kind.

It sure would be worth it!

Thanks John and to all who've agreed to chip in. I'm flattered by the
offer, but right now I'm in "risk management" mode(an occupational
hazard) and preparing for the worst. So "hold that thought". If it
turns out as bad(or worse) than I'm planning for, I may take you all up
on the offer. If it turns out there's an easy "work-around", then
there's no need to go "passing the hat" yet.

Thanks again!

We'll leave it to your good judgement Patrick.
Keep in mind that I probably won't be the only one ticked off if you go out
and buy your own behind our backs :-)

Let me try and re-phrase that... you can go and buy your own whenever you
see the need but you have to let us "netters" reimburse you for it. [g]

...or when the time comes be sure to let us know and then just keep emptying
your mailbox (the snailmailbox).

I'd gladly kick in $25 also for the opportunity to help keep this thing
running smoothly. Just holler if ya figure out that your really gonna need
it. This list means a lot to me!

I look forward every day, as do so many others, to seeing what is new on
the GMCNet. Patrick has provided not only the media but must spend many
hours working on "bounces" and an occasional hour or two serving as
GMCNet Police Chief.

I appreciate what Patrick has done for the GMC legacy and I am happy to
pledge $25 toward the purchase of a suitable laptop.

I too appreciate this net and commend Patrick
Please count me in for $25. Where do I send my contribution?

Since everyone seems to be up on laptops, maybe I can get some help. Last
xmas my son got me one and it seems about every week or so I need to re-boot
it. I've tried to find some information but haven't had much luck. It's made
in USA by ETCHASKETCH but it didn't come with a manual.

Sam

I have an earlier version of that brand also. Try holding it upside down,
shake vigorously, and you should have a clean reboot.
