I have a new battery installed in the coach. Its
been going dead for the last three nights. I
removed all fuses expecting that to stop the
draw on the battery...to no avail. Removed the
hot to the battery and put the charger on it.
( It was triping the reset button on the charger
tonight). Batterys charging now. I deduce that
the starter is causing a direct short! I'll
be removing it tommorow night.I love my GMC.

Rob,
Each time your battery "deep cycles" it will only come back to @ 80% of its
last capacity. At that rate, 2 or 3 times and your battery is about as
usefull as a pinlight battery!

Pull the battery and do a continuity test with a meter, this will help you
find if there is a load problem.

Do a few tests and if you are still outside the gate, call me Friday on my
toll free # 1-877-275-4462.

Hope this helps,

You more than likely have a bad battery.Starter would have no current draw
until you hit the starter.

Just keep repeating that over and over, Rob. Make it your mantra! That --
and a large jug of SCOTCH -- really helps me get through the tough times. :-)
