It's time for tires, and this time that means wheels too.... Alcoa wheels.

I haven't called Continental Tire and Wheel in nearby Constantine, MI --
I'll ask on the list first.

Does anyone know if the 'shortage' from Alcoa due to the active recall still
exists?

Is anyone else looking for a set that would make a larger volume purchase
worth pursuing?

Let me know with an off-net e-mail if you prefer. mailto:mgrady

Mark,
There is a definate shortage. I wanted the Alcoas and found
http://www.CHROMEWHEEL.COM
and talked to Bernie. He didn't have any of the polished outside #160231
(and didn't know when he would) but did have the #160232 (polished inside
for dualies). Same price ($159) and he polished the outsides so I have
polished wheels on both sides now. Got all 7 of mine in about a week. Stick
with the Alcoa recommended lugs though and don't go with the ones he pushes.
I got the GMC logo hub caps from Alex S and am now ready to roll.

I didn't see those new wheels on your coach last night when I drove
by... BTW, when are you going to move that eyesore away from your
neighbors view, or are you going to mask it by reeevvving up the hog?

I was hoping you'd stop by and help me put them on!!! ;-)... I even pulled
a muscle in my back hauling those things back from Sam's to get the tire on!
Haven't fired up the H-D Bad Boy in a week!

Heck, this old girl is the fanciest thing in the neighborhood.... (just
don't let my wife hear me say that!!!)
See ya.
