I have a 1988 GM 454 TB. I bought a harness from Howell. Have the ECM with a reprogramed chip, and all items that plug into the Howell harness. Now I need a part number for an external fuel pump. I'll put pumps in the tanks latter. Bob Dunahugh

Bob,

This is the one recommended by John Wilson many years ago, endorsed by Ray
Swartzendruber, and used by me most of the past 5+ years:

You choose either the cheap brand I never heard of or the Airtex, who also
makes Master.

There are numerous similar pumps available also, such as the Airtex E8228
and E8248 (you can do a part number search at Rockauto for more info).

One note of caution. I used an external pump for a couple of years and could not wait to change to "in the tank" pumps. The pump made a lot of noise
especially when run in hot weather. I'd pull up to a stop light and notice a lot of people staring at me because of the noise. Total quiet now. JFWIW
