We've had 3 - 78 Royales. All had the compressors inside. Had to really listen to know that they were running or not. Mine never run. Except at camp sites for leveling. What year did GM put them inside. 75? I checked the on/off pressure switch today. Works. But sure is crusty looking. I'm changing it no mater where it's at. And the air filter on the compressor is gone. Bob Dunahugh

Putting a new pressor switch in because it's in the engine area. It maybe bad. And I don't like the compressor there either. Shouldn't be a big deal to move both inside. Haven't really checked that idea out yet. But I'm sure someone here has. Bob Dunahugh
