I recently obtained a replacement FreshWater sender from Cinnabar and found when I hooked it up, it read from 1/2 to above Full..
Instructions read that it should have from 0 to 90 Ohms on the range, mine had 20 to 110.
Found out if I took cover off monitor panel, put in on all the time, I could recalibrate the gauge part.
Set sender at empty, and GENTLY moved needle in direction I wanted it to go and held it there for a couple of seconds.. Must have Re-magnetized the needle part because it stayed and was able to get needle to show empty when empty and full when full.
Some of my early Chevy engineering and STM techniques still come in handy.
