Though the clamp is tight the modulator moves more than expected if you touch it. Normal or perhaps missing an Oring?

Clamp on upside down? (or backwards, depending on how you look at it)

While troubleshooting my transmission shifting issue last month, I noted that the modulator will still move when its retaining bracket is tight. We
tried to bend the retaining bracket slightly to tighten it, but one ear broke off the bracket. Luckily we were at Al Hamilton's and he had a spare
tranny. We installed the bracket off the spare tranny and found the modulator still moves. We decided that must be the way it is suppose to be and
left it.

So I'm guessing its suppose to be that way! and don't mess with the bracket.

My Staff says I never listen to them, or something like that

There's an O ring uder it. If it's gone or hardened the modulator will move. And eventually drip fluid. Ask me how I know this :) (Or simply read
the transmission follies and redux)_ :)
