Arch,
I think this bad luck of yours (gas tank problems) is working its way
through the GMC net.
For the last couple of weeks I have been removing & repairing the complete
dash panels on my 78 Royale.
The drivers side of the dash was warped and broken in three places. I had
repaired the broken areas and set the panel aside to paint.
Today I stumbled and fell on the repaired panel and it shattered into ten
pieces. It is sad to see a grown man cry. (Especially when I am the grown
man)
But being a ,The glass is half full type, I have good news to report.
1. I was not injured in the fall.
2. The panel can be repaired with a lot of effort.
3. The three previously repaired areas were still in good shape.
Moral: If you look hard enough, every cloud has a silver lining. (Ya,right)
One other good thing. It is a fantastic excuse to get drunk.
Hoping for a better day tomorrow,
RT (Dick) Roberts
