Gene, many thanks for sharing your adventures in Mexico. A tour sounds
like the best, no-hassle way to go.

I am tempted to do the Copper Canon trip but after living overseas for 15
years I am disinclined to stray over our borders anymore. There are still
too many places in the old USA that tempt me more!

Glad you returned with you and the GMC intact!

David, My sentiments precisely. We just returned from 5 days in Cancun.
Wouldn't have gone but I won this damn sales contest and they insisted I go.
Beautiful place and the Mexican people we met there were delightful
(probably because I used them to brush up on my Espanol). And getting into
Mexico and back into the US was a pain with all the bloody security in place
now that we've hacked off the Islamic Jehad folks again.
But have no desire to go back. I, like you, haven't seen some of the best
spots HERE. Still have the Florida Keys on my list.
And, after seeing how they drive down there, I have NO desire to stray south
of the border in a classic motorhome. The bus drivers must be recycled
Tiajuana taxi drivers and you literally take your life in your hands
crossing the main -- and ONLY -- drag in Cancun. RIDING one of those busses
is a whole 'nother story.

The beaches at Destin and the "Redneck Riveria" will just have to do! :-)
