Thomas (or anyone),
Do you have a partnumber (non GM) for the combination/metering valve ? I.e.
is there an alternative partnumber?

I was going to bypass it, even if only temporarily, but I'm having trouble
getting a coupling that I think will fit. I'm still in pre-dismantle mode so
I'm going by old lines which seem to be a bigger nut, smaller line
relationship than any stock inverted flare coupling that I've been able to
find.

Heinz it is actually called a balance metering valve GMC part # 25509422 and
is available at any GMC truck dealership for about $55 US.

Somewhere in my notes I already checked locally in Utica NY and it is
available from the GMC dealer in 1 day.
