Lets really expand the black list

While looking the black list over i could not help but notice that many of
the more copious users of the net are not on the list. I have a feeling
that it is not because they do not want to be involved in this wonderful
idea of helping out fellow GMCers in their time of need. Rather many
believe they neither have the skills nor tools to help. In my opinion it
simply isn't true.

I would ask each of you to reconsider and add your name to the black list, a
most noble humanitarian effort. Equally important to having the tools or
knowledge to assist in a unexpected breakdown while travelling, is the need
for a comforting, understanding individual to sometimes do nothing more than
run us to the nearest parts store for a part. In other words just being
there can make a tremendous difference. Its a strain both to the pocketbook
and the sense of well being, to breakdown in an unfamiliar area. And
remember it might be you that breaks down on your next trip and will be
looking for a familiar name to call for assistance, but alas, no one from
that area signed up.

I have now sold over 125 wheel bearing pullers, to individuals in every
area of the country and Canada. But for everyone sold there are 100 coaches
that do not have access to them. I would like to ask each of the owners of
the bearing pullers to add your name to the list, so these tools can be
shared with your fellow GMC owners if needed on an emergencey basis.

We have a most unique motorhome and an equally unique comraderie on this
net. Lets really expand the list so every single area is covered. Thanks

PS: I'm going to Florida in my coach in February so am going to need that
list alot.

GMCers
A suggestion to go with Tom's comment....explain to your spouse
that it does not involve giving up the first-born !!
Just other people like yourselves that might need a hand
sometime !

This is a good point, Tom. I signed up for the Black List early on.
Although I'd be happy to bring my one airbag wrench if you call, I know
my best contribution would be to pick you up if you're stranded on I-94,
feed you some prime rib and commiserate while we wait for the tow truck.

No tools, no mechanical skills, but I think I might be able to be of
assistance. Maybe some more mechanically challenged folks will consider
joining the Black list!

Tim you hit the nail on the head. Each and everyone of those on this net
would be a big help when one of us breaks down. Just a recognizable person
as someone on the net, is a big morale booster, and makes everything else
easier.

And another thing Tim many are overlooking. If someone breaks down in the
middle of nowhere, and he calls the nearest person on the list for
assistance and he is maybe 100 miles away, its nice to know that the person
calling is also on the list. Might make a big difference in whether the
person gets out of bed to assist.Just human nature i think.

Please sign up for the black list even if all you know is the front from the
back of the GMC. Thats a mile ahead of anyone else i would have to contact
if broken down.

Good idea, Tom. For all you that have used the Black List, email me with
your story and I'll gather them all together. Also give permission for it
to be used as needed. I'll edit and proof your writings so don't worry
about grammar. Get the OK from those you name to use their names or use an
alias. Might be able to even get it on someone's web site. Hint! Hint!

Ya'll are working me to death and yes, I'm still looking at all the ads that
have been sent to me. I love it.{:>)

Maybe its time to add a kudu section somewhere so people that do help can be
recognized. In addition sometime towards the end of next summer someone
ought to write up a story for the FMC magazine to show how GMC enthusiasts
treat each other.
